BAKER + JUSTIN GOLD-SMITH, OWNERS
741 PARK AVENUE
HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK
ARKANSAS, 71901
We are Baker + Justin Gold-Smith, a married pair of hospitality professionals with over 20 years collective experience in the industry. We met while pursuing degrees in Hotel & Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, then moved to New York City where we worked for some of the most legendary hotels in the world.
In 2015 we started our own business, Gold-Inn Hospitality, providing management and consultation services to owners of independent lodging establishments. We managed bed & breakfasts and inns from Massachusetts to Utah—establishing and improving systems, processes and products to prepare our clients for success.
We purchased the Gold-Inn in April 2018, where we now live and work full time, applying our diverse hospitality experience to develop a product we are proud to call our own. We look forward to welcoming you!
Nestled among the Ouachita Mountains and surrounded by Hot Springs National Park, the Gold-Inn is a boutique motor lodge anchored by a 1905 manor. This arrangement is typical of our historic Park Avenue neighborhood, which boasts numerous stately houses and vintage motor courts. The property was once owned by Samuel Fordyce, founder of Mountain Valley Spring Water and whose name you’ll find on the Bathhouse that now houses the Visitor Center for the National Park.
A 15 minute walk from the Gold-Inn puts you at the start of the Central Avenue Historic District and Bathhouse Row, the heart of Hot Springs. We are also centrally and conveniently located to many of the other attractions in the Hot Springs area, including Oaklawn Racetrack and Casino (10 minutes), Magic Springs Theme and Water Park (8 minutes), Ron Coleman crystal mine (25 minutes) and numerous hiking trails within 5 minutes.
